Meet Our Team: Anaïs
Anaïs Chabaud is GoCambio’s France Country Manager. After growing up in Limoges, central France, she moved to the busy and beautiful Paris to study marketing, all before spending a wonderful year in the US as an au pair. Today, Anaïs lives in Ireland, but she has lots of new adventures planned!
What made you decide to work for GoCambio?
After getting my Master’s in International Management I wanted to gain some work experience in a dynamic Irish business environment. When I read the GoCambio offer, I immediate knew I wanted to join the team. GoCambio really takes care of its employees and the concept has endless opportunities. It is such a rewarding and fun first job!
What does cambioing mean to you?
Cambioing means that you don’t need money to learn new skills, explore new cultures, or meet new people, and I think that this idea is pretty cool in our current society.
What’s the one skill you want to master before you die?
I’ve wanted to be fluent in Spanish for years. Jumping on a plane to go to Mexico and learn the Spanish language and culture is on my list of things to do.
What’s the most incredible place you have visited on your travels and why?
It is a hard question. I have seen many amazing places. The Skyroad in West of Ireland, Selänpää village in Finland, Big Sur coast in the US, Hong Kong…I guess there are plenty of incredible places as long as you are with the right people and there is a good weather!
Where do you see yourself in ten years’ time?
Life is unpredictable. 6 years ago I wanted to work in advertising in Paris, 4 years ago I wanted to travel all around the US for the rest of my life. Right now, I would tell you that I will be living in Dublin and working hard/playing hard to succeed in business and make my personal aspirations come true, but who knows?
If you were left in charge of the GoCambio office for a day, what would you choose to do?
I would organise a giant barbecue event and invite all the people from Youghal (our HQ). The main activity would be speed dating where everybody can tell each other what they have learned about their life so far.
We have some pretty fantastic colleagues working for us here in Youghal. Check out the rest of our international team!
