Meet Our Team: Emma
Emma Power is GoCambio’s resident wordsmith. With a knack for knowing exactly how to put what you’re thinking into words, not to mention coming up with the best puns, Emma is responsible for a lot of the copy and blog posts you see on our website. Keep reading to find out about the one thing she’s dying to learn and her plans to retire with Johnny Depp.
What made you decide to work for GoCambio?
Something about their application just stood out to me — their real, unapologetic ‘let’s get stuff done’ attitude was really refreshing, especially when it came complete with bags of humour and a sense of adventure (and full acceptance of my tea addiction).

What does cambioing mean to you?
It means a legitimately honest, but genuinely accessible travel experience for everyone. Skills aren’t just something you add to your LinkedIn profile or include in your CV, they’re something tangible that make you ‘you’ — whether it’s making killer playlists or desserts.
What’s the one skill you want to master before you die?
My mother would like me to be able to get through a whole meal without dropping a piece of lettuce on the floor (it happens every single time) but I think I’d be happy if I learnt how to poach an egg like they do in restaurants. I’ve tried vinegar, clingfilm, water swirling — nothing works.
What’s the most incredible place you have visited on your travels and why?
The child in me says Disneyland (it IS the happiest place on earth, after all) and the geek in me says places like Glenfinnan Viaduct (from the Harry Potter films) and Anne Hathaway’s Cottage (English major alert), but Niagara Falls is probably the most visually impressive.
Where do you see yourself in ten years’ time?
Producing great work for a young, cool brand or ad agency, with an even bigger shoe collection and spending leisurely weekends making my own wine with my (by now 62 year old) husband Johnny Depp in his vineyard estate.
If you were left in charge of the GoCambio office for a day, what would you choose to do?
Introduce an hour-long siesta after lunch, ban talking before 11 o’clock and adopt an office pug to keep the goldfish company.
