Meet the Team: Jerome
Jerome is a new copywriter recruit in GoCambio for the summer. The final year journalism student has experience working freelance, co-hosted a radio show in college and even spent five months studying in Utrecht, Netherlands. Affectionately compared to the Muppet character Beaker, Jerome brings a fresh energy, young energy to the team and is always willing to make a round of tea or coffee.
What made you decide to work for GoCambio?
It’s an innovative, exciting and enterprising project that I really wanted to be part of.
What does cambioing mean to you?
It’s somewhere I can apply my skillset and learn in a creative environment. Interacting with different cultures and backgrounds, cambioing helps you develop a greater world view which is vital in personal growth and development.
What’s the one skill you want to master before you die?
Flipping an omelette without breaking it. Every time…
Jerome enjoying King’s Day on his Erasmus in Utrecht!
What’s the most incredible place you have visited on your travels and why?
Auschwitz-Berkenau camp in Poland. The scale and lengths they went to inflict suffering on people is truly beyond belief. It’s the one place I would recommend everyone to visit it in their life.
Where do you see yourself in ten years’ time?
I’ve too many ambitions to be tied to one.
If you were left in charge of the GoCambio office for a day, what would you choose to do?
Invite as many Hosts and Guests to the first annual GoCambio BBQ party!
